Miami, Florida - The Rome Gladiators experienced phenomenal success under the guidance of team coach Eric Lamaze in the Global Champions League team competition held during CSI5* Miami, Florida, from April 14 to 17, 2022. During the opening round of competition, Nina Mallevaey (France) riding Chacco Kid and Shane Breen (Ireland) aboard Z7 Ipswich teamed up to produce a four-fault score that left the team in fifth position overnight.
The following day, the unstoppable combination of Mallevaey, 22, and Zoe Conter (Belgium), 23, were ready to do battle on the beach. Both athletes produced clear rounds with Mallevaey once again saddling up Chacco Kid, the former ride of recently retired Lamaze, and Conter lining out with Dawa de Greenbay Z. Their perfect result catapulted the Rome Gladiators into third place overall and onto the podium! Even better, Mallevaey and Chacco Kid won Round Two of the Global Champions League over 54 other entries in their five-star debut!
